The Ministry (Cabinet) consists of those Members and Senators appointed by the Governor General on the advice of the Prime Minister. It includes the Prime Minister and Ministers and may include others such as Ministers of State and Secretaries of State.
The Cabinet is the executive of government and is responsible for the administration of the government and the establishment of its policy.
Through Committees, MPs and Senators study policy and legislation in detail. Committee hearings are normally open to the public.
