About Mountain Adventure Skills Training (MAST)

This online guide to research at the College of the Rockies Library is intended to assist students and faculty as they formulate, develop, and complete research projects within mountain adventure skills training.  Use this guide to locate the Library's resources and find a selection of links to web sites which may be useful to those practising or studying in the field.

Our Mountain Adventure Skills Training (MAST) program provides first-hand outdoor adventure experience and you can earn professional certifications for the adventure tourism industry, all while you enjoy the Canadian Rocky Mountain lifestyle. 

Our instructors include highly skilled guides in avalanche safety, rock climbing, mountaineering, whitewater kayaking and rafting, backcountry skiing, backpacking, canoeing, and wilderness hiking. You can earn industry certifications in avalanche skills training, ski/snowboard instruction, swift water rescue, and more. You can also gain university credits towards a degree in Adventure Tourism.
